Who’s going make this almond butter and jelly French toast?! It’s my new favorite thing and easy (not to mention it takes about 5 minutes to make). I posted this reel on how I make it which isn’t so much a recipe but a method. Enjoy!
Who’s going make this almond butter and jelly French toast?! It’s my new favorite thing and easy (not to mention it takes about 5 minutes to make). I posted this reel on how I make it which isn’t so much a recipe but a method. Enjoy!
+ Almond butter (or nut butter of choice)
+ Jelly of choice (I used strawberry)
+ Bread of choice (I used sourdough)
+ 2 eggs
+ Splash of milk of choice (I used macadamia)
+ 1 tsp cinnamon
+ Vanilla extract (optional)
+ Maple syrup
1. Lightly toast 2 slices of bread. I didn’t show this step in my reel but it makes the inside is a little crispy.
2. Make an almond butter and jelly sandwich.
3. Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla and dip sandwich in the mixture, coating bread evenly.
4. Heat a little neutral oil (I like coconut for this as it adds a little sweetness) or butter over a skillet over medium heat.
5. Place sandwich in skillet and don’t move it until edges look cooked, then flip and do the same on the other side.
6. Remove, drizzle with syrup and enjoy!
