Big Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Whatever the occasion… you deserve a big a%! chocolate cookie! These are pretty much my crowd pleasers with some modifications but please don’t @ me – I had lots of fails and needed to deliver! ⁣


+ 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour (I used Bob's Red Mill gluten free)⁣
+ 1 cup nut butter – I used macadamia and WOW⁣
+ 3/4 cups brown sugar (I used coconut because *health* LOL)⁣
+ 1/2 cup maple syrup ⁣
+ 1 chia egg or regular egg (chia is 1 tbsp chia: 4 tbsp water - whisk together and let it sit until congealed)⁣
+ 1 tbsp vanilla ⁣
+ 1/2 tbsp baking soda ⁣
+ Flakey sea salt⁣
+ Chocolate of choice


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit ⁣

2. Combine all ingredients except salt and chocolate⁣

3. Scoop dough and arrange on a baking sheet with room to spread (recipe yields 9 cookies)⁣

4. Bake for 10 minutes (ovens vary, they should be lightly browning at edges)⁣

5. Remove, let cool a little and add chocolate ⁣

6. Add a pinch of salt and enjoy!
