In the past few months I’ve had some bad experiences when it comes to Botox, so I’m determined to find the most effective alternatives. I think we’re lied to when it comes to Botox. There’s this idea that we have to get Botox every 3 months, which I know that some people metabolize it more quickly than others but it doesn’t seem realistic to have to go every few months just to keep a frozen forehead! I talk a lot about Botox in this solo episode so be sure it check it out.
Anyway, I’ve definitely noticed my forehead and face start to fall a bit since stopping Botox and have decided that it’s time to start testing out new alternatives. So, I’m sharing all of the beauty hacks I’ll be trying out!
What I’m Doing Instead of Botox
Frownies – These are hypoallergenic overnight facial patches you can apply to your forehead to prevent facial movement while you sleep. These patches are supposed to smooth and soften forehead wrinkles and fine lines over time. They are under $25 and you can get them on Amazon here!
Cosmetic Acupuncture – This is a non-invasive beauty treatment that uses acupuncture needles to improve the overall appearance of your face by stimulating the skin, muscles, and soft tissue.
Microneedling – This is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that can help with anti-aging by stimulating the skin to produce more collagen and elastin.
Gua Sha + Face Massage – Using a gua sha or doing daily facial massages helps to increase blood circulation, improved lymphatic, and lifts and firms sagging skin and facial muscles. I love adding the gua sha to my morning routine and have been using this one!
LED Mask + Red Light Therapy – Red light therapy is great for wrinkle reduction, acne, hyperpigmentation, and helps to improve skin texture and radiance. Here is the LED Face Mask and LED Mask for my neck and chest I’ve been using non-stop.
At the end of the day, skincare is number one when it comes to anti-aging. You can do all the Botox, surgery, fillers, sculptura, but if you’re not taking care of your skin you won’t see results! Your skin is your canvas and everything else is a cherry on top. So it’s important, especially as you get older, to prioritize your skincare routine. Here is a blog post on all of the skincare products I swear by and use daily!
