Healthy Butterfingers

I can’t think of a better way to start off the week than with these super simple, healthier, BUTTERFINGERS!⁣ I made a version of these a few years ago using dried mulberries instead of cereal for the filler, which works well too. Also, you can use a different nut butter but the flavor won’t be as authentic.

Ingredients

+ 1/2 cup maple syrup ⁣
+ 1 tsp molasses⁣
+ 1 cup peanut butter ⁣
+ 2-3 cups flakes cereal (I used One Degree Organic Foods)
+ 3 chocolate bars of choice (I used Evolved Chocolate)⁣
+ Celtic sea salt ⁣

Instructions

1. Heat syrup & molasses over low heat until bubbling⁣

2. Add to a bowl with nut butter & cereal⁣

3. Stir well, crushing the cereal into little pieces⁣

4. Separately, melt about 3 bars of chocolate over low heat⁣

5. Line a 9x3 pan with parchment paper; add a layer of the butterfinger filler

6. Pour chocolate on top ⁣ ⁣

7. Sprinkle with salt and freeze
