Hot girl summer is all about living your best life and feeling confident while doing it. It’s not about fitting into a certain bikini size or the way you look in those cutoff shorts. It’s about showing up as the best version of yourself, no matter what, and I’m here for it! How often so we tell ourselves we’ll be able to enjoy summer when we drop the weight or fit into those jeans from our freshman year of college? Well, I’m here to tell you that the time to make the most out of summer (or whatever’s left of it) is now! So, here’s how to have your best hot girl summer – the one you’ll think back on years from now.
Take time off
If you’re looking for a sign to use that PTO, this is it! What better time to book a trip or plan a staycation than now? Not only will it help you relax, be more mindful and present, but you’ll make memories while doing it. Plus, we could always use a little R&R – it’s good for us.
Embrace where you are
All too often, we make excuses for why we can’t fully enjoy the moment because we haven’t reached our goals or accomplished what we’ve wanted – but that’s no way to live. It’s about the journey, not the destination, so give yourself permission to enjoy the ride.
Try something new
Whether it’s trying that restaurant you’ve always wanted to or taking that class that’s been on your list, commit to trying something new this summer. Instead of putting it off or telling yourself you’ll get to it, pull the trigger and just go for it.
I don’t know about you, but I always feel like a million bucks after a fresh tan and an evening of self-care (I’ll take all the skincare I can get my hands on). Whatever it is that makes you feel your best (bubble bath, fresh mani, etc.), devote some time to pampering yourself – you totally deserve it!
Let go of what others think
Ever wanted to do something but were too afraid of what others would think? Well screw that! People are going to judge you no matter what you do, so you might as well be judged for whatever it is that makes you happy. Don’t let fear hold you back. Sometimes we all just need to have a f*ck it moment.
Cheers to an amazing summer!
