My Beach Day Must-Haves

Nothing makes me happier than a relaxing day at the beach. Whether I’m traveling or not, I always try to prioritize some quality time in the sun – protected of course! A little vitamin D is so good for the soul so I consider it one of my wellness nonnegotiables. That being said, the sun can take a toll on your skin and hair, so I alway come prepared. Nobody wants to end up feeling like a dried up prune. So, here are a few things I always have on hand when I’m headed to the beach…

SPF (Of Course)

This is a given – honestly I wear SPF every day but I lather up any time I’m going to be spending a lot of time in the sun. I also bring it with me so I can reapply throughout the day. My favorite body sunscreen is this Necessaire one because it’s a 100% mineral sunscreen infused with skincare actives like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. I’m also obsessed with the Jan Marini Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant for my face – it gives you that glass skin look and has SPF 33.

Sun Hat

I get asked all the time what hat I’m wearing whenever I post a beach pic and it’s always the same. This Janessa Leone Felix Bucket Hat has been my absolute favorite hat for years! It completely shades your face and looks great with anything I’m wearing. I have it in both black and the natural color.

Sunglasses

Even though I’m most likely wearing a hat that shades my face, you can’t forget to protect your eyes! Sunglasses are a must whenever I’m outside – even if it’s not completely sunny. I just picked up this pair of Celine sunglasses that I’m obsessed with. Here’s an Amazon dupe that looks very similar as well for a fraction of the price.

Water

Another given here but it amazes me how many people forget to stay hydrated while they’re out in the sun. I’m not trying to undo all the hydration and products I applied to my skin throughout the week – dewy plump skin is a must for me so you will not find me at the beach without water and lots of it.

Kindle

I love reading and I recently joined the Kindle club – what was I doing so long without it? It’s just so convenient and I find that I read a lot more with it. Anyway, you’ll rarely find me at the beach without it.
