Nike Running Challenge

Since the start of the year I have been feeling a bit unmotivated when it comes to working out. The desire is there but when it comes to the type of exercise to do, I’ve felt rather aimless. A resistance workout here, Pilates there; nothing is getting me excited. So when Nike reached out to partner on their Nike Running Challenge, it could not have been more perfect timing.

Each month, from now through May, The Nike + Run Club  will encourage participants to run a set number of miles, using the NRC App . Something I have really enjoyed throughout my fitness journey has been the assistance of apps, as they provide clear cut goals and the structure to reach them that I usually lack. Essentially, it takes all of the guesswork out of what I’m doing and enables me to just do it, pun intended!

I am not one for resolutions but I did vow to try new things and push myself to grow this year. And that is exactly what this challenge is for me; an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, push myself and see what I’m capable of. The challenge is for people of all fitness levels and I would love for you to join me on this journey! Once you download the NRC app you’ll have access to the amazing features including GPS tracking of your runs, audio guided running workouts, weekly and monthly distance challenges to keep you motivated, and customized coaching plans. Best of all, we can share our runs and even have our own hashtag to follow. Click here to download to your iPhone or Android.

So, with all this running in my future I need a reliable shoe. Enter the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2. I fell in love with the original Epic React Flyknit when I partnered with Nike last fall, and I can’t speak highly of them enough. They take smooth, lightweight performance to the next level and are just as good after months of wear as they were in the very beginning. The Epic React Flyknit 2’s feature everything I loved about the original plus a knew knit pattern for extra lightweight support and comfort – and an updated heel for soft responsiveness.  Plus, their new spring color ways are amazing!

I truly hope you will join me in this challenge and see what you are capable of! Cardio and running doesn’t have to be seen as a punishment; it can be meditative and an incredibly powerful mechanism to promote that blissful mind-body connection. I mean, they don’t call it runners high for nothing! I’m so ready to get up and go; and I hope you are too! Xo
