If you want to really take a Caesar salad to the next level, ROAST IT! This VEGAN Caesar is so simple and sooo insanely good! I used my dressing from TBF Eats 1 with some modifications and air fried some Coco Bakes sourdough bread for croutons.
If you want to really take a Caesar salad to the next level, ROAST IT! This VEGAN Caesar is so simple and sooo insanely good! I used my dressing from TBF Eats 1 with some modifications and air fried some Coco Bakes sourdough bread for croutons.
For salad:
+ 1 small head of romaine lettuce
+ Salt and pepper
+ Nutritional yeast of vegan cheese of choice
For dressing:
+ 1/2 cup tahini
+ 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp water
+ 1/2 lemon
+ 1 tbsp olive oil with garlic
+ 1 tbsp dijon mustard
+ 1 tsp nutritional yeast (adjust according to your taste)
+ 1 tsp capers (not necessary but give it an authentic taste!)
+ Salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Cut lettuce lengthwise and brush with oil of choice (just a tiny bit!! You don’t want it soggy) and bake until browning and crisp at edges, about 15 minutes
3. Blend dressing ingredients until creamy
4. Pour over lettuce, sprinkle with nutritional yeast or cheese, croutons, add protein if you’d like; plenty of options!
