What is face taping, where did it originate, and is it a viable alternative to Botox?

I did a little deep dive so you don’t have to and shared what it is—and what it isn’t—here. 👆🏻

Big Tape is likely never going to fund double blind placebo studies 😅🙂‍↔️ so the best we have is anecdotal evidence supporting its effectiveness, of which there is plenty! At $20-30 a roll, it is worth trying if you don’t want/can’t get tox.

I was so tired of all my plain, low histamine go-to meals and then…I got my hands on some spring roll paper 🙌🏻 I’ve been making these spring rolls allll week and they really taste restaurant quality. They’re SO easy, so delicious, also a great way to get protein and veggies in and are really low carb if that is something you’re trying to be mindful of. I have a lot of dietary restrictions right now but you can customize them however you want! Save & share these with someone who would love them 😍

Ingredients: (for 4 spring rolls)

shredded or thinly chopped carrot (1/2 large carrot is more than enough)
Thinly sliced or shredded cucumber (again you only need a little
Chicken or protein of choice
spring roll paper
olive or sesame oil
soy sauce, coconut aminos, liquid aminos, whatever sauce you prefer

Directions:

Sauté veggies in some olive or sesame oil until soft
Dip spring roll paper in water and ensure the whole paper is wet - let soften for 30 seconds to a minute (not too long or it’ll get really thin and sticky)
Add filling to center of paper, fold opposing sides over filling then roll
In a non stick pan (this is key to getting a good crisp!) heat some oil until simmering
Add spring rolls and don’t touch for a few minutes to ensure they’re getting brown and crispy, then flip
Brown them all over, remove & let cool and enjoy!

when I share about skincare this is my why 🤍 even though I only experienced acne for a short time, it was enough to understand the pain and frustration that it causes. I felt like I was doing everything “right” and yet everyday I woke up with more breakouts all over my face and neck 😰

What ultimately cleared it up was spironolactone and the right skincare routine with professional guidance from @thelafacialist 🧴there is no shame in using medication imo and for me it was really helpful.

I didn’t do any lasers or treatments at the time other than skincare, and I’ve gotten maybe 1 or 2 fraxels since. Skincare is the foundation and there is no surgery, injectable etc. that will replace it! Lmk if you have questions! 🩷

Then recorded in Miami and celebrated 11 years sober with friends and my boyfriend. 11 years ago I was a prisoner of my addictions and my world had gotten so small. I would never have believed my life today including my career, relationships and freedom in every sense of the word 🥹 if you’re struggling just know you can go anywhere and do anything sober and have a big, fun life! grateful grateful 🙏🏻
