Bone Broth Rice

If you’re still cooking your rice in water, you’re seriously missing out! Next time, try cooking your rice in bone broth or vegetable broth if you’re vegan. I shared my favorite way to make rice in this post, but it’s so nourishing, savory and delicious. You have to try it!

Ingredients

+ 1 cup jasmine rice ⁣
+ 1.5 cup bone broth or vegetable broth
+ 2 tbsp ghee (use olive oil for vegan)⁣
+ salt to taste ⁣

Instructions

1. Rinse rice until water runs clear. This might be controversial but I don’t always do this, I like when it’s sticky.
2. Combine rice, broth and ghee in a pot and bring to a boil⁣. I like chicken bone broth but you can use vegetable broth if you’re vegan. Also, if you want a lighter flavor, do 3/4 cup broth 3/4 cup water. ⁣
3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Turn heat off but leave covered for another 10 minutes to steam. ⁣
5. Stir, add salt and enjoy! This is such a good base for nourishing fall bowls!
